To Beauty of the Future: Shanghai Jahwa Holds 2021 Strategy Conference

On March 18, Shanghai Jahwa United held the “To Beauty of the Future - Shanghai Jahwa 2021 Strategy Conference” online. During the conference, the company released a new corporate image film with the theme of “Dedicated to Beauty.”

Chairman and CEO Pan Qiusheng led the management team in explaining of Shanghai Jahwa's strategic planning for future development, including its corporate strategy, brand innovation, channel advancement, corporate culture and digital empowerment, demonstrating the company’s new image as a leader in China's beauty and cosmetics industry.

New Strategy, Same Mission

With 123 years of history, Pan said that Shanghai Jahwa continues to provide consumers the most beautiful products, services and craftsmanship. All of that is underscored by Shanghai Jahwa’s new culture system with a new vision, mission, operating principles, values and corporate slogan.

Pan deconstructed the operating principles of consumer-centricity, brand innovation and channel evolution as two drivers:

"The company is focused on consumer-centricity and cooperates with other organizations and big data platforms to gain comprehensive insight into consumers to drive product development and better meet consumer needs,” Pan said. “In terms of brand innovation, the company will focus on industry trends and future judgment through consumer insights, focus on big data, marketing and resource allocation model innovation to create the most beautiful products and services.”

In terms of channel evolution, Pan said, “the company will promote channel innovation through five core initiatives: Strategic partnerships, digitalization, smart retail, private domain and business model innovation, while continuously going through new channels, new scenarios, and new consumption to capture new market opportunities derived from the future.”

He also tipped culture, system and process, and digital transformation as three enablers to help the company focus on generating greater value for consumers and give maximum support to brand innovation and channel advancement.

Reaffirming Sustainability Commitments

Shanghai Jahwa also confirmed its focus on sustainability. The company plans to take practical actions to realize the sustainable development of a community with a shared future for mankind:

"This year, the company released the first ESG report for listed companies in China's beauty and cosmetics industry, which comprehensively disclosed the company's initiatives and achievements in fulfilling social responsibility and promoting sustainable development,” Pan said. “To implement President Xi Jinping's '3060 Plan' for China's carbon emissions, we have also set a series of more forward-looking goals, with the company achieving peak carbon emissions by 2025 and achieving full value chain carbon neutrality by 2050, setting an example for the entire industry."

This year marks 123 years since Shanghai Jahwa's establishment and 20 years since the company's A-share listing. In 2021, Shanghai Jahwa is already on the road of revival. In the future, the company will uphold its original intention of “Dedicated to Beauty” pursuing the best products and services with the heart of perfection to create maximum value for consumers, employees, shareholders and society, and bring Chinese beauty to the world.
